Tour Review

The railtour was due to be hauled by 141 class locomotives 146 + 171. However, at around 16:00 on Friday 5th March 2010, the ITG were informed by Iarnród Éireann that they would not now allow the use of these two locomotives on the railtour. 071 class locomotive 078 was provided instead as a replacement.

Apart from the last minute change of motive power, the tour ran as booked.

The train was formed of the RPSI “Heritage Set” of coaches consisting of vehicles 1916 + 1419 + 1463 + 2421 + 88 + 1383 + 3185.
