This railtour was originally advertised as a farewell railtour for the NIR DH locomotives. Unfortunately, locomotive 2 failed the day beforehand after putting a piston through the engine block whilst running light engine from York Road Works to Central Services Depot. Therefore NIR provided locomotives 101 and 104 as last minute replacements. The train was formed of RPSI wooden bodied coaches.
